How did I get to ceramics? Miguel Molet
Since childhood I have seen my mother brought home pieces of pottery, ceramics and enjoyed and praised the creativity of people who could perform these pieces, the ceramic has had a permanent place in my life, white and cobalt blue have always been on the shelves of my home. I have visited shops and craft shops with my mother in the trips we made together, and have often led pottery as a gift for my mother, I seen my mother beaten and thoroughly repairing those parts, for it so valuable, when they broke, we can say that I learned to appreciate the pottery and handicrafts through my mother, a woman of great culture, always has instilled value of self-made things, I guess all I wanted was to be his reflection. She always between paints, brushes, brushes and tools, creating colorful spaces, "he spoke of art and the importance of doing what one likes, provided it does not hurt anybody, of how art tells a part very important in the history of mankind, and that if we pay attention to the art we find out who us. She devoted all my humble work, she devoted all my work, because she planted in my anxiety and love that professes to ceramics.
much has been written about the pottery that I recently I have to add, really plastic is the discipline that gives us more freedom to express ourselves. During the ceramic process, since the clay is raw until the final piece is done, one will discover, ceramics allows me to see and understand, and everything I've read about ceramics is reaching realism as I continue working with the mud ... if not I have it, when my hands stop and stop creating ... then I fail to see, need to be in contact with the mud to understand. My pieces are only a reflection of what is inside me, some artists and artisans choose to reflect what they see outside, look outside and reflected by using different materials and techniques, I prefer to look inside, understand ceramics as a more way to communicate with others. The pottery has helped me survive in a world that sometimes do not understand, think about making a pot or a wall, or an original piece, design, turning, shaping, decorating, drawing, painting, ultimately create ... are verbs I like most about our beautiful English language, good and love, obviously, and looked through the prism of my vision encompasses all earlier. I also want to express from this little cyberspace than I have, my total gratitude to my husband Adolfo, without which they could have built the dream of having my own pottery studio. And those friends who always have encouraged me to pursue my dreams. Thanks to all my teachers, because they've learned the value of the word creativity, Special thanks to Miguel Molet who have taught me the skills necessary to be quiet in my profession and my life.
